Cityspace presents Smart Ticketing and coins RTPX ‘real-time passenger eXperience’ - TV-style broadcast information at the point of need

London, 12th September 2007 - Cityspace, a leading provider of urban digital networks, will be unveiling self-service ticketing and its pioneering ‘Bus TV’ as part of a showcase of passenger personalised information and services at this year’s Transport Innovations.

Establishing a new level in passenger services, Bus TV presents an evolution from RTPI to RTPX – a complete Real-Time Passenger eXperience; a positioning which underpins Cityspace’s commitment to improving the customer waiting experience.

Smart Ticketing

Making its debut at the event, the Smart Ticketing outdoor terminal combines high quality hardware with interactive touch screen information services and a complete unattended integrated payment system. Developed by Cityspace, the technology has been used by transport authorities in Sweden over the last five years to provide secure, managed, cashless ticketing solutions for rail and bus operators.

Bus TV

Being introduced for the first time at Transport Innovations, Bus TV is a pioneering broadcast technology which truly delivers an unprecedented, fully managed, passenger experience. TV-style content for localised information, promotions and announcements combine with clear LCD presentation of real-time bus and rail timetables and disruption news.

Bus TV presents a new genre of real-time information and CCTV display, easily integrated into existing networks or supported by a Cityspace wireless network.

Both Smart Ticketing and Bus TV will be demonstrated live on the stand, number T524. Wireless connectivity for transport and transport display screens will also be featured.

Presenting the company’s latest customer facing technologies and passenger personalised information, Guy Wolfenden, Director of Cityspace Transport, will be speaking at the Exhibitor Focus seminar at 12.30pm on 19th October.
