Cityspace brings together digital information from transport authorities and third parties to create passenger services which meet the needs of people on the move.
All the services are location-aware, ensuring information is relevant to where the user is standing. The interface is easy to use and it is simple to switch between services.
Real-Time Passenger Information (RTPI)

Up-to-the-minute departure and arrival information can be clearly presented to passengers.
Cityspace extracts relevant information from the Authority's real-time database and delivers it using the latest screen technology.
RTPI services are available for the following modes of transport:
- Buses - next bus departure information
- Road - real-time disruption news on local roads, powered by BBC Travel News
- National Rail - train arrival and departure information for the nearest station

Alongside RTPI, Cityspace presents on-screen route maps, operator details, onboard services and promotional messages.
Journey Planning

Multi-modal journey planning is presented in a simple to use format that enables users to find the fastest way across town, enquire about bus routes or obtain walking directions for the last leg of their journey.
An on-screen keyboard enables users to select their chosen destination and preferred mode of transport whilst the journey planner (such as Traveline or Transport Direct) does the rest.
Clear instructions are provided on screen for each leg of the journey along with a map to show the route. A summary of the journey plan can also be printed for future reference.
Quicklook timetables

To simplify the task of looking through route timetables, Cityspace have designed quicklook timetables which clearly display the next five scheduled bus departures from the nearest bus stop. A full timetable for more detailed queries is accessible by touching the screen. Quicklook timetables are powered by Traveline data.
